Understanding Your Grief

Written by Dr. Alan Wolfelt. Dr. Wolfelt gives thought to what he calls the ten touchstones in grief. The book is written in an easy to understand way, and has good practical things to do to help yourself with grief. One of the most compelling parts of reading from his many resources in grief support is his concept of 'companioning' with people through their time of grief. I have found his book and his approach to understanding and working through their grief very helpful in my work as a hospice social worker. I use the book as a framework for our grief group. I highly recommend this book.
